What We Do
CITB offer support to industry through our grants and funds. CITB grants cover day to day training and our funds cover specific projects and commissions.
Our grants support employers who provide day to day training for their workforce.
Our grants contribute to the cost of training and qualifying your workforce in construction-related subjects across the following three categories:
Short course grants - for the achievement of approved short courses, which last from 3 hours to 29 days and are focused on the core construction skills needed across the industry. This includes plant training linked to any card scheme courses and the theory and practical elements of Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) technical tests.
You can apply if you’re registered with us and meet our general Grants Scheme terms and conditions and the course criteria in this grant. Short course grants are available for all directly employed staff and all subcontractors.
Qualification grants - for the achievement of approved qualifications. The grant can be for qualifications which take less than one year or for the attendance and achievement of approved higher level qualifications which take more than one year to complete.
Apprenticeships grants - for attendance and achievements on intermediate, advanced approved apprenticeships, higher and degree-level approved apprenticeships
