Leeds City Region Revolving Investment Fund

The Leeds City Region Revolving Investment Fund (“Leeds City Region RIF”) provides short term loans of over £1m to support businesses to accelerate economic growth and job creation within the Leeds City Region.

Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

Full fibre broadband connections offer the fastest and most reliable speeds available, and the government is committed to a vision of a full fibre Britain. As part of this commitment in March 2018 we announced our £67m Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme.

RESOURCE EFFICIENCY FUND

The Resource Efficiency Fund is the latest package of business support to be available to businesses across the Leeds City Region through the LEP’s Growth Service. The £2.65m programme, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, was launch on 2 February 2016.

AD:VENTURE

The ERDF AD:VENTURE programme provides dedicated funded support to eligible pre-start, young and new businesses in the Leeds City Region.

The programme offers intensive, bespoke guidance to small and medium sized businesses under 3 years old. Support available includes; expert mentoring, events and workshops, finance brokerage, grants, business incubator space, one to one consultancy projects and peer to peer learning.

PAPI Leeds City Region

The PAPI (Product and Process Innovation) grant scheme is now open in the Leeds City Region. The project is here to help the regions small businesses develop innovative new products by providing grants for equipment and support to eligible businesses.

Customs Training and IT Grants Scheme

From early December 2018, customs intermediaries and traders who complete, or intend to complete customs declarations can apply for funding for training and IT. An investment of £5 million has been set aside for these grants to help increase capacity in preparation for the UK leaving the EU on 29 March 2019. We would encourage businesses to apply early. Applications will close on 5 April 2019, or earlier once all the funding is allocated.

ThinCats SME Business Loans

Loans for growing and ambitious small and medium-sized businesses in all areas of the UK and operating in all sectors.

Broadband for Rural Communities

As part of the Government’s Rural Gigabit Connectivity programme business and residents in some of the hardest-to-reach places in the UK are eligible for additional funding towards the cost of installing gigabit-capable broadband to their premises when part of a group project.

LEP Grants

We provide grants of between £10,000 and £250,000 to small and medium sized businesses who are based in the Leeds City Region, or planning to invest here.

LEP Loans

We offer loans of between £500,000 and £1 million for businesses based or investing in the Leeds City Region, to support capital projects, focusing particularly on infrastructure.

Business Enterprise Fund

Tailored loans for businesses that are unable to access reasonable finance elsewhere.

Funding Circle

The UK Government is lending £60m to businesses through Funding Circle, alongside thousands of people and other investors.

Prince's Trust

We work with 18 to 30-year-olds to turn big ideas into a business reality through our Enterprise programme. From training and mentoring support to funding and resources, we're with you every step of the way.

Shell-Livewire

The Shell LiveWIRE programme offers free online business advice and funding to young entrepreneurs (Age 16-30) in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).

Start Up Loans

Start up loans are available up to £25,000, over 1-5 years at a fixed 6% interest p.a.

Ragdoll Foundation

Open Grants – supporting organisations working with children and young people using the arts and creative media. The Ragdoll Foundation Open Grant scheme supports non-profit organisations working with children and young people using the arts and creative media. Grants of up to £50k are available but the majority of grants awarded are likely to be in the region of £5k to £30k and cover between 25% and 80% of total costs.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation

The Shared Ground Fund will provide organisations with the financial support they need to test new approaches and explore ways of addressing new challenges in this area of great change and uncertainty. It will also support organisations with an already strong track record of achievement with substantial help to achieve a greater impact.

Arts Council England Funding

The Arts Council invest money from government and the National Lottery in arts and culture across England.

Santander Fund

Santander work in partnership with the University of Huddersfield to offer funding of up to £1500 for SMEs looking to expand their workforce with graduate talent.

European Fund for Strategic Investment

EFSI is an EU initiative which aims to help overcome the investment gap in the EU by mobilising private financing for strategic investments. It will support investment in strategic infrastructure including digital, transport and energy; education, research, development and innovation; expansion of renewable energy and resource efficiency; and support for smaller businesses and midcap companies.

Small Employer Offer

We want to help small, local employers to employ disabled people and people with health conditions. If you're a business with 25 or fewer employees, we can give you extra support through Jobcentre Plus.

Manufacturing Growth Programme

Helping You to make Improvements by Identifying, Understanding and Removing Barriers to Growth. Our expert Growth Managers will work with you to establish practical steps to achieve business growth.

Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund

The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund, supported by the European Regional Development Fund, provides commercially focussed finance through Microfinance, Debt and Equity Finance funds.

Access Innovation

Access Innovation is a new package of support available for businesses to develop new products and processes. We can help you to access the specialist expertise needed by teaming up with the relevant research organisation.

SIAFS - Stimulating Innovation in the Agri-Food Sector

'Stimulating Innovation in the Agri-Food Sector' (or SIAFS for short), aims to help food & drink businesses, with under 250 employees, to develop and grow their businesses (for free).

Exporting for Growth in Yorkshire & the Humber

Exporting for Growth is aimed at companies wanting to develop their international business or get started with international trade. In addition to the funding, companies will receive impartial and tailored advice from one of our International Trade Advisers who will be happy to assist you throughout the process and project.

Barclays £100,000 Unsecured Lending

Unsecured lending for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.

LEP APPRENTICESHIP GRANT FOR EMPLOYERS

A scheme to support businesses to recruit young people, aged 16-24, into employment with financial support in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, Wakefield or York.

Creative England Investments

Interest free business loans of up to £250,000 are available to support creative and digital businesses based in England, outside of Greater London.

Industrial Heat Recovery Support (IHRS) Programme

Funding for all industrial manufacturing sectors in the England and Wales to further understand the identified challenges and barriers to adoption, and to increase industrial confidence in deploying heat recovery technologies by working with industry to address these barriers.

NESTA Cultural Impact Development Fund

A £3.7 million fund providing small-scale repayable finance to socially-driven arts and cultural organisations.
